The Workshop will run for the entire school day. 

Our maximum capacity is 40 students. We limit the number as the more you have, the less interactive it is for your students. We bring product and supplies for no more than 40 students.

If you're a co-ed school, we appreciate anything you can do! Just let us know so we can cater for your group with an extra barber or hairdresser or gift packs.

The highlight of the day is the practical. If they're not interested, don't force them. We'd rather have kids who are excited to work with hairdressers, stylists, makeup artists. You will get the best out of your students if they're keen to be in all of it.

If your student identifies as non binary, then its entirely up to them what group they decide to attend, it may be a mix of presentations, they are free to choose what they attend and pair up with a friend if they choose to as well. We're all inclusive at EDGE and encourage our students to go where they feel comfortable.

Yes you do. I don't know your students as well as you do, and I'm not there in a discipline form. My other presenters aren't teachers and the professionals or employers aren't going to tolerate poor behaviour. You will need teachers who will actively supervise, not sit on phones or laptops doing work. The breakout groups need the most supervision.

Being a former teacher I understand that space is rare at the best of times. If you can't manage a space, please let both EDGE and your HT know asap and a space at a local PCYC or Community Hall will have to be organised. Please make it somewhere your students can access easily.

Sorry, no. Due to the number of schools to accommodate , external professionals and employers booked in 3 months prior to your school visit. We liken it to a day of work. The professionals and employers we have , run their own businesses so we must accommodate them with consistent times. Please inform your students and canteen of different times for your cohort.

The schools where things have flowed so easily already have the everything organised in advance. Main rooms have been set up, the IT person is there to check our connections and the teachers with the groups have a great rapport and join in on the activities.

These are days that can help anyone in year 9 or 10. Year 9s are keen as they're eager to get work, and are more open to career options, and its about planting the seed early. I feel there is a middle group of students- not the 'top' or the 'bottom' range, but the middle kids. Often they need the confidence push and miss out on many activities because they don't get targeted for a lot of activities. Invite them along! We have found that Year 11 and Year 12 are less interactive in practicals.

No, the breakout sessions are included in our EDGE Workshops only.

There will however be outfit demonstrations on two students by an EDGE Stylist per lecture.

Whole year groups are welcome - no student limit within 1 year group.

The Lecture will run for 2 hour duration. 

You will receive 3 x one on one sessions with qualified Careers Advisor Sharna Dawson, as well as access to your own coaching portal where you will be able to access links , PDFs, action plans, and anything else you create with Sharna throughout your coaching sessions!

We upload the lists and the system automatically generates them a login. You don't have to touch it, reset it, or hang onto passwords.

Using your P-Card, or whatever card you have using the checkout system. We can also take over the phone payments with your card as well. For those working in the NSW system-EDConnect no longer want to raise purchase orders and have asked for card payments.

You can get one progress report per year. We suggest at the end of the year if you have reporting to do.

The course can be used as you wish. Some teachers use it as a term's unit, others use it weekly with a speciality group. Kids can do it at home at their own pace.

If you purchase The Work Experience EDGE course, you have an optional downloadable workbook. We can have these printed and posted , at a cost to your school. The download is $47 and it's yours as an add on.
